TechTarget is seeking a Marketing Executive who will help plan, execute and track integrated audience marketing plans, contributing to the overall success of our UK and European offerings.


The Marketing Executive will be responsible for audience development and online membership campaigns designed to help boost activity and traffic volume across Computer Weekly and MicroScope. This person will also work with our delegate recruitment team to drive attendees to our monthly events.


Essential job functions:


  • Play a key role in developing and executing online and event marketing plans;
  • Develop, write and track email marketing campaigns for Computer Weekly and MicroScope;
  • Create ad units for online placements across the TechTarget network and develop market expertise to target these effectively;
  • Assist in developing strategies for breaking into new European markets; 
  • Cultivate strategic alliances and partnerships to help generate increased awareness, traffic and site membership;
  • Review and analyse campaign effectiveness and optimize campaigns to grow response
  • Demonstrate innovation in acquisition and retention marketing relative to assigned sites and events;
  • Craft event marketing collateral, email promo copy, website content and telemarketing scripts for all events;
  • Work with delegate recruitment team to carry out targeted telemarketing effort to attract highly-engaged senior business and IT professionals;  and,
  • Manage social media for Computer Weekly and Microscope.


Knowledge, skills and abilities required:


  • BS Degree;
  • Minimum 2-5 years marketing experience required (online and publishing experience preferred);
  • Experience crafting and executing marketing plans;
  • Demonstrated success managing a variety of online and offline direct marketing vehicles including email, banner ads, newsletter sponsorships, link outreach, social media;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines;
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills in analyzing data and projecting marketing results;
  • Ability to analyse key metrics and interpret them into actionable data points; and
  • Ability to multi-task and excellent time management skills;
