This position will service the Philadelphia Market Area

General Responsibilities: Responsible for actively participating in the bank’s sales and business development program; performing various duties to develop new mortgage business; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor and providing required information on sales and service activities; maintaining a current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and mortgage investor guidelines; coordinating work within the department or unit as well as with other units and departments; responding to inquiries or requests for information.
Essential Duties: Jointly established quantitative sales objectives, with assigned supervisor, on an annual basis; Maintains ongoing contacts with present and potential customers in order to enhance cross-selling activities and maintains detailed records of meetings with prospective or present customers; Serves as a member of the bank’s sales “team” and works with other members of the sales/service team in striving to increase sales opportunities; Inputs mortgage loan applications in mortgage system and processes mortgage documentation; Orders and obtains credit reports; Conducts regular follow-up on outstanding documents in connection with pending mortgages applications with the borrower; Prepares log-in for loan and other fees received; Maintains records and prepares various reports as required; Inputs loan applications of field originators when required; Continual interface with branch personnel i.e. quality of applications; Develops relationships with customers, realtors, builders, attorneys and community and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business; Provides quality customer service to existing and prospective mortgage borrowers; Interviews applicants and ensures that all necessary information is received and documented properly; Maintains a current knowledge of laws and regulations and mortgage investors guideline which impact mortgage-banking services.
Required Education, Training, Experience: A BS or BA degree in business-related field or equivalent knowledge; a thorough knowledge of current mortgage lending regulations; proficient interpersonal relations, communicative, and sales skills; a working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact mortgage loan services; a basic knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank mortgage loan products and services; visual and auditory skills; valid driver’s license; a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a mortgage lending environment or a related position normally required
