Senior Technologist, Key Account Milpitas
Senior technologist is the technical expert who provides leadership in development and delivery of metrology products and services. The selected applicant will work closely with a group of application scientists and customer process engineers in semiconductor fabs to develop innovative scatterometry solutions for complex materials and structures. The candidate would need to apply troubleshooting skills of physical sciences, mathematics and engineering to deliver cutting edge results.
Duties will include:
(a) Design and perform experiments to characterize of cutting-edge measurement technologies;
(b) Improve the ease-of-use of software;
(c) Provide technical training to customers and junior engineers;
(d) Manage field application support at customer sites;
(e) Provide escalation support to onsite field service/applications engineer; lead and coordinate remote/local troubleshooting;
(f) Demonstrate leadership during crisis;
(g) Use statistical analysis to identify weakness and improve tool quality;
(h) Develop best-known methods based on field learning, with engineering and service departments.
(i) College-level understanding of optics, semiconductor, and statistics and 5 years of relevant industrial experiences are required.
(j) Experiences with optical instrumentation and familiarity with polarization or ellipsometry is strongly desired.
(k) Good planning, troubleshooting, and organizational skills are essential.
(l) The candidate should expect working in cleanroom environment. 30% international travel expected.
(m)Experiences with JMP or other data mining tools are preferred.
(n) Familiarity with PC, MS Office/Project programs and basic programming is a must
(o) The candidate must be self-motivated, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
