Credit Card Product Manager

The incumbent in this position will serve as the manager and single-point-of-contact for Alliant’s Credit Card product and will be responsible for all aspects of product lifecycle from identifying sales and growth opportunities through design and delivery; ensuring competitive pricing including promotional card pricing and sales strategies. Work requires building close relationships with Alliant internal partners to ensure the timely and accurate development and launch of cross-functional activities and outcomes. Incumbent is responsible for determining potential areas of risk associated with new products and policies. Resources to do the job require reliance on credit analysis experience in Consumer Lending.

 

Product Management:

  • Perform trend analysis to ensure competitiveness of Alliant credit card product and investigate credit card opportunities within the marketplace.
  • Ensure all credit card products and strategies are aligned and supporting the member advocacy mission.
  • Work with the card issuer (Visa) to identify best practices to maximize the product value through the product design.
  • Partner with internal and external partners to define business best practices, trends, risks, opportunities and requirements for the credit card product.
  • Identify, develop and implement initiatives to meet established and strategic goals.
  • Monitor and make enhancements to existing credit card products including all processes and phases within the product lifecycle as well as supporting the development and roll-out of new credit card products that add value to the member.
  • Establish annual credit card goals as well as set long term strategic goals
  • Monitors and coordinates regulatory issues concerning credit cards and revolving debt products. Identify potential risks with recommendations for mitigation.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the third part partner (PSCU) and coordinates all credit card activities.
  • Serve as a resource for training of new employees
  • Maintain a current knowledge of changing legislation and regulatory climate and recommend changes to credit card policies and procedures. Partner with Marketing Department to assist and support the development of new products and product enhancements.

 

Suggested training and experience:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Communications, or a related field and minimum of three to five years experience in product management (credit card management preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong understanding of the credit card industry.
  • Experienced in project management with strong, organizational, collaborative and consultative skills.
  • Computer proficiency utilizing MS Office Suite.
