Position Summary:


This individual provides prompt and accurate World Class Member service while ensuring time sensitive functions are completed efficiently and accurately.  Responsible for opening new Memberships via Membership development events, on-line or mail applications and all applicable follow up and on-boarding.  Contact new Members through generated reports for the purpose of obtaining missing information necessary to establish the Membership and to provide consultative service to new Members ensuring a positive new Member experience.


Essential Job Functions:


§  Provides direct assistance to Members, teammembers, school district personal, and others regarding issues related to opening new accounts via Membership development events, on-line or mail applications, payroll processing, and other similar functions


§  Actively seeks out new Memberships working closely with Membership Development Officers to retrieve missing information from events for those who request Memberships.


§  Provides consultative services to existing and potential Members regarding credit union products and services by assessing the Member's needs, addressing their concerns and gaining agreement through outbound calling, school visitations, community events and distribution of materials.


§  Develops and maintains a close partnership with internal departments, including frequent communication via email, phone calls, face to face meetings, training and follow through on leads and requests.


§  Measures, tracks and reports daily, weekly and monthly progress.


§  Assists with department projects and research needed to complete department reports.


§  Utilizes multiple systems and critical applications necessary to properly open and maintain Member account transactions.


§  Extensive knowledge with regard to the credit union’s standard operating procedures.


§  Answers Member inquiries and provides information in accordance with credit union policy.


§  Commitment includes ability to work flexible hours weekends as necessary.


§  All teammembers must comply with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions.


§  Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.



Knowledge, Education, and Experience

High School Diploma required.

2 - 4 years previous experience in financial institution/banking/credit union. 



License, Registration, and/or Certification Requirement

- Must have a valid California driver’s license and insurance.
