Pepco Energy Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI) is a rapidly growing provider of non-regulated energy and energy related services and products in the Mid-Atlantic region. We are looking for a Senior Project Development Engineer to join our team. 
 
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Lead a technical development team of individuals responsible for developing energy related products and services for our customers
  • Perform comprehensive energy and water audits of commercial, institutional, and governmental customers
  • Identify and develop cost savings opportunities and capital upgrades relating to lighting, mechanical and electrical systems, energy management systems, water consuming equipment and fixtures, and building envelope
  • Prepare detailed scopes of work for the opportunities to obtain accurate subcontractor pricing
  • Prepare budgetary cost estimates
  • Develop economic analysis for projects, including cash flow and life cycle costs
  • Prepare technical reports of the findings
  • Lead a technical development team of individuals responsible for developing energy related products and services for our customers
  • Present proposed projects to customers
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field
  • 5+ years of experience in energy services
  • Extensive knowledge of energy-efficiency technologies and their application.
  • Experience in energy auditing
  • Professional engineering registration preferred, CEM also preferred
  • Design and construction experience a plus
  • Experience with building simulation software
  • Experience with measurement and verification of savings for performance contracts
  • Project cost accounting and estimating experience a plus
  • Strong economic analysis skills
  • Strong writing and oral communications skills
  • Familiarity with the use of common energy engineering software
  • Travel required – some overnight (10-15%)
  • Valid drivers' license in state of residence
