Primary Purpose:

Nanometrics is in the process of implementing Oracle’s E-Business suite in a SOA environment. We are seeking an experienced functional expert who has extensive knowledge of Oracle Financials E-business suite of products in addition to financial reporting support skills. The primary responsibility of this role is that of a Business Analyst with broad expertise in Oracle Financial modules and reporting with project management skills a must have.

Would prefer a candidate who has worked as subject matter expert on an Oracle ERP from the finance perspective. The candidate should have good  Oracle Financials implementation experience combined with an in-depth understanding of business requirements which can be translated into solution documents. Good understanding of change control, project processes and reporting tools.

Ability to create and support financial reporting a must. MS SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and Tibco experience preferred.

Primary job responsibilities
  • For the first year, works with Oracle in-house project manager and implementation consultants on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors in order to facilitate our Oracle Implementation and launch.
  • Liaises with the internal accounting team on the Oracle implementation project and ongoing reporting needs. 
  • Develops requirements for SSRS, SSIS, SSAS as well as data marts and OLAP using the Microsoft stack of reporting tools. Words closely with the Data Warehouse Architect to define data mart requirements.
  • Assist in defining new business requirements, process improvements and provide gap analysis in order to effectively drive changes through to completion across the organization
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed functional specifications for extensions, interfaces, reports and conversions
  • Understanding of business process and ability to provide resolution to issues which satisfy the customer’s needs
  • Initiate and follow through on Oracle Reporting Requests
  • Development and delivery of end user training
Requirements

Configuration & Technical Knowledge:
  • Exposure to Oracle configurations and previous Oracle implementation experience
  • Working knowledge of the Oracle underlying data model in order to support analysis and issue resolution
  • SSRS, SSIS, SSAS as well as data marts and OLAP using the Microsoft stack of reporting tools

Required Experience:
  • 8+ years work experience with Financials modules
  • Implementation experience in implementing Oracle Financials
  • The successful candidate's experience should also include experience in implementing Oracle Financials modules. R12 experience is a distinct advantage
  • Experience working in and understanding complex inter-related systems
  • Accounting background and experience a must
  • Ability to work with a financial team and be able to understand and communicate technical requirements to system implementer.

Required Skills:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good leadership ability to drive issue and projects to conclusion.
  • SQL, SSRS, SSIS and Data Mart using SQL stack required.
  • Project Management experience a plus.
  • Good team player and able to work with a diverse group of people who reside in different locations.
  • Self-starter who is solution and customer focused.
·         Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
·         Thorough understanding of software development life cycles, development processes, and quality assurance roles within a project

·         Manage internal customer relationships and set expectations, while managing risk and scope creep

·         Act as the financial liaison for project and program communication
 
·         Implement, manage and communicate change control. Full understanding of project phasing and risk mitigation

 ·         Ability to work in changing environment and work under tight deadline

  • Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent activities among many groups and provide clear plan of dependencies and milestones across program

·         Creative problems solving skills. Ability to think “out of the box” and apply non-traditional solutions to challenging issues
