Position Summary
The Database developer (ETL) is responsible for loading data into the data warehouse and assisting in the ongoing development of technical best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL- related activities.

Responsibilities and Expectations
• Analyze business needs and requirements
• Provide technical knowledge of Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) solutions for Business Intelligence projects
• Translate business needs into technical and system design specifications
• Design data warehouse schema and data model
• Manage reporting meta data and data standardization for end to end integration
• Write ETL scripts, design and develop reporting end user layers and reports
• Prepare and maintain system documentation in accordance with IT Applications SDLC Procedures
• Manage DW support activities, Issue tracking, escalation and resolution
• Support of development initiatives
• Provide guidance to the IT community on best practices and internal standards
• Stay current in DB technologies

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in related field of study or 3+ years of equivalent work experience required
• Focus on continuous process improvement
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Takes ownership for assignments
• Proven proficiency in the following:
o Oracle 10G and 11G and above
o SQL
o PL/SQL
o Oracle performance tuning
o Toad
o OEM
• Working experience with the following
o OWB
o PL/SQL
o SQL Server
o Solaris 10
