Position Summary
The primary role of the Developer is to translate the solution design into a technical design and
implement that in the target solution/application. This is done through the review, analysis, and
modification of application systems including the coding, testing, debugging and installation to
support the organization's applications.
Responsibilities and Expectations
• Read and understand the business requirements and solution design
• Translate solution designs into a technical design and implementation
• Analyze and evaluate present or proposed business procedures or problems to define
data processing needs
• Proactive and diligent in identifying and communicating design and technical issues
• Responsible for collaborating with the Business & Systems Analyst to resolve gaps
between the business requirements and design specifications
• Develop high-level and detailed solution design and implementation documentation
• Create release and roll-out and roll-back procedures
• Write and maintain technical documentation
• Document system problems and resolutions for future reference
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user
access and component configuration
• Select among authorized procedures and seek assistance when guidelines are
inadequate, significant deviations are proposed, or when unanticipated problems arise
• Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure
connectivity and compatibility between systems
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or
accessed by the network
• Create other technical deliverable artifacts needed for project implementation

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related disciplines or
equivalent work experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of computers and operation systems, to include configuration and
