The successful candidate for the Web Developer will Work closely with Leatherman’s Sr. Web Developer, ecommerce team, creative team and others to contribute to the creation of amazing web customer experiences. Work in a variety of development roles, from UI programming to complex backend integrations.  Work on a variety of websites including Leatherman’s consumer ecommerce website, international sites and B2B sites. 
 
 
The ideal candidate must be able to:
  Experience and Education Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of development experience in a business environment utilizing source control tools and other best practices.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with an ecommerce platform such as Demandware.
  • Proven experience working with a modern object oriented language and development tool sets used for web development.
  • Experience with front-end web development including HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
  • Strong desire to continue learning about a variety of languages and platforms including Demandware, gulp, Sass, C# .NET, XML, SQL, REST, SOAP, continual build process with Jenkins, Dynamics AX, and Salesforce.
  • Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication and teamwork.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to establish and maintain effective relationships with various other departments.
  • Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Effectively organize, prioritize, plan, and follow through on multiple complex assignments and projects.
 
 
Physical Demands/Working Conditions/Physical Hazards:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently stand or walk; sit; use hands to handle, grasp, or keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. The employee occasionally climbs; bends, stoops or crouches; lifts; pushes/pulls; and talks and hears. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment, and is occasionally exposed to production environment. Work area is well lit and air conditioned.
