JOB SUMMARY: 
 
Responsible for evaluation and approval of audits by reviewing and ensuring audit has been processed in accordance with NCCI, State and Internal Standards within state time requirements.  Provide customer service to insured’s and agents.  Assist Field Auditors and Vendors with managing pending audits.  Interact with internal staff to resolve inquiries, discrepancies and to track premium recovery progress.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
 
  • Review financial information to ensure accuracy of the comprehensive audit
  • Verify all data was captured and accounted for on the audit
  • Oversee, train and monitor select group of audit staff and outside vendors
  • Assist in handling audit disputes with internal and external customer
  • Provide superior customer service and communicate to existing policyholders
  • Verify classifications and calculations and perform additional calculations as needed
  • Coaching and feedback responsibilities pertaining to audit
  • Ensure assigned audits are analyzed within state time requirements and regulations
  • Ensure assigned audits meet state documentation requirements
  • Accurately enter all information and documentation as required
  • Respond to inquiries and provide direct customer service
  • Perform audit adjustments and manage pending audit files
  • Compose and distribute written correspondence
  • Identify errors and omissions and perform corrective action or forward to appropriate person
  • Maintain confidentiality of information processed
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE
 
  • High School Diploma required
  • College Degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years field audit experience
  • Accounting experience
  • Familiarity with payroll and industry classification codes
  • Familiarity with NCCI Basic Manual
  • Point System and Visual Software experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Advanced computer skills, MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work in order to meet established deadlines
  • Knowledge of payroll taxes
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
