Network Engineer II

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer. This position will plan, install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot the service provider network LAN and WAN environments as well as assist with other responsibilities of the Network team. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional problem solver, with a positive attitude.  They should have the ability to work well as part of a team and independently as needed in a dynamic and complex environment. This candidate will also be internal/external customer service oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Required Skills:
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Service Provider and networking-related work including, but not limited to, design, configuration, and implementation planning 
  • At least 3 years’ experience with Cisco IOS XR, IOS XE, IOS, Cisco ASA, ASR9000, 7600, ME3xxx Carrier Switches
  • Must have legal right to work in the United States 
  • Strong with TCP/IP model, BGP WAN Optimization, Route Redistribution, BFD, MPLS, MPLS-TE, ISIS, NAT, Security, TACACS, RSA 
  • Hands on experience in Layer-2 Protocols including RSTP, Link Aggregation - LACP, VTP, MSTP and 802.1Q Trunking/Tagging IPv6 Experience (Preferred) Experience with IPSec Site-to-Site VPNs, Fiber Optic, and Gigabit and Metro Ethernet (Nice-to-have) 
  • General understanding of DWDM and Optical (Nice-to-have)
