Job Opening:  Route Driver/Warehouse Clerk
Shift: Monday thru Friday 7am – 3:30pm (occasional additional day(s) and overtime expected to support business needs)

The successful candidate for our Route Driver/Warehouse Clerk will drive company truck between locations and suppliers.  Move inventory into storage locations using material handling equipment.  Perform replenishment of packaging and shipping racks and inventory cycle counting.
 
Duties:
 
  • Physically load, transfer, and unload materials to and from storage, receiving, warranty, maintenance, machining, suppliers, shipping, packaging, etc. including different buildings using material handling equipment and/or company vehicle (24-foot truck).
  • Continually throughout shift, move components between Ainsworth facility and local suppliers. Interact in a friendly and professional manner with internal and external customers/suppliers.
  • Accurately process requests for inventory and company shipments for cross-dock of material to individuals and suppliers.
  • Perform location replenishment & cycle counts according to work instructions and/or training.  Support problem solving when discrepancies are identified.
  • Perform consolidation of inventory in locations using mobile device.
  • Maintain 5S standards in the warehouse area.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including quality, sourcing and manufacturing on continuous improvement projects.
  • Function as a backup Receiving Clerk for time off coverage.
  • Perform packaging and shipping tasks as needed.
 
Experience and Education Requirements:
 
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.  Ability to drive 24’ truck safely continuously throughout a work shift.
  • One or more years material handling or combined packaging and warehouse experience required.
  • Must be able to utilize small hand tools and operate materials handling equipment including forklifts, skids, pallet handlers, hand trucks, and other similar equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking English and basic math.  Requires a forklift license, internal training available as required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software skills (Word, Excel, & Outlook) and Microsoft Dynamics AX experience preferred.
  • Ability to apply problem sensitivity, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication and teamwork.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Effectively prioritize and follow through on assignments and projects.
