TechTarget is seeking an Account Executive in our Sydney office who will be responsible for managing significant technology accounts across APAC, selling TechTarget’s online media products with a particular focus around online lead generation. While all accounts will be based in Sydney the position will require selling across multiple APAC geos and communicating with other TechTarget account managers based in Singapore, London, Boston, and San Francisco.
Essential Job Functions: 
  • The account executive will work both independently to develop local contacts for their business and with US-based sales teams to leverage their history of success with the same accounts;
  • Manage sales from prospecting to close to renewal – this is not an inside sales role;
  • Work closely with multiple organizations within the company from operations to finance;
  • Advertising revenue growth through new business development, ongoing client contact, and account management;
  • Increase depth of contacts by attending trade shows and through active prospecting;
  • Manage and increase sales through a large volume of sales calls and face to face meetings; and,
  • Keep abreast of industry developments; stay involved in industry activities through participation in trades shows, industry associations, and industry functions
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
  • 1+ years of sales digital ad sales experience or experience in the digital ad space working with tech companies;
  • Degree in business, marketing or communications preferred;
  • Experience at a technology company would be valued as well;
  • Experience with digital lead generation will be valued;
  • Demonstrated ability to break new accounts and to grow existing accounts;
  • Accountability and desire to attain goals are driving factors in their life;
  • Strong organizational skills; and,
  • Ability to deal with a deep and complex set of products.
