Volunteer Services Summer Assistant (Tanglewood)

Great summer opportunity is to assist the Volunteer Services department with basic administrative tasks as well as with assistance of the fourteen different volunteer projects.
Responsibilities:

Assists in the volunteer services office, with tasks including: 
  • Staffing of the volunteer office - assist with volunteers questions, disseminate packets, answer phones, run errands, etc.
  • ​Staff volunteer events including Talks and Walks, Family Fun Fest, Instrument Playground and Watch and Play, as needed.
  • Assist with mailings - stuffing, addressing and mailing. 
  • Produce volunteer packets, including badges, directory, handbook and other materials.
  • Assist with the coordination and production of the Welcome Back Reception and the Annual Recognition Events. 
  • Assist with the maintenance and coordination of files for the volunteer organization; complete data entry as is needed. 
  • Additional duties and errands as may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Some administrative experience in a fast-paced environment is preferable.
  • Proven attention to detail required.
  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Knowledge of database management is a plus. 
  • Access to a vehicle and ability to use it. 

 Dates of Employment:  June  15–August 27, 2017. This position will require night and weekend work, not to exceed 40 hours per week.    HOUSING NOT PROVIDED
