Great summer opportunity is to assist the Volunteer Services department with basic administrative tasks as well as with assistance of the fourteen different volunteer projects.
Responsibilities:
Assists in the volunteer services office, with tasks including: 
  • Staffing of the volunteer office - assist with volunteers questions, disseminate packets, answer phones, run errands, etc. Also staff volunteer events including Talks and Walks and Watch and Play, as needed.
  • Assist with mailings - stuffing, addressing and mailing. 
  • Produce volunteer packets, including badges, directory, handbook and other materials.
  • Assist with the coordination and production of the Welcome Back Reception and the Annual Recognition Events. 
  • Assist with the maintenance and coordination of files for the volunteer organization; complete data entry as is needed. 
  • Additional duties and errands as may be required.


Qualifications:

  • Some administrative experience in a fast-paced environment is preferable.
  • Proven attention to detail required.
  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Knowledge of database management is a plus. 
  • Access to a vehicle and ability to use it. 

 Dates of Employment:  June  17–August 28, 2016. This position will require night and weekend work, not to exceed 40 hours per week.    HOUSING NOT PROVIDED
