Come be part of an outstanding team working with world class musicians as a summer seasonal Stage Assistant at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA.  You will be assisting with all stage related needs for a wide variety of artistic experiences at our multiple venues. 
   
Responsibilities:
 
  • Set-up, change and break down of equipment, risers, instruments, chairs and stands for rehearsals and performances of orchestras, popular artists and other presentations.
  • Transport of instruments and equipment to multiple rehearsal and performance spaces.
  • Assist in the maintenance and general up keep of performance spaces.  
  • Work and communicate with performers, administrators and other production staff to ensure a high quality experience for both performers and audience members.
  • All applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment physical after an offer has been extended.
 
Qualifications:  Knowledge of orchestra music, instruments and setups required.   Must be a quick learner, able to work in a fast-paced environment in a productive, professional and courteous manner.  Must have a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation.  Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.  Previous stage crew experience is preferred.  Theatrical production experience in basic lighting, carpentry, rigging and/or A/V is preferred.  DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:   June 1 - September 4, 2017
 
 
Full time hours include evening and weekend shifts, which are required and frequent.
