Ohio Dominican University seeks a full-time Public Safety Patrol Officer.
Responsibilities include crime prevention, roving patrol of campus, enforcement of ODU policies, responding to emergencies, assisting students, faculty, and staff, traffic control and parking enforcement.
This is an entry level, security officer position for the University, not a police position.
The successful candidate will possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and a high school diploma, with some college preferred, and be at least 21 years of age. Police, military or security experience in an educational setting preferred. Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check and have a clean driving record. Successful candidate must be willing to work weekends and holidays and must be able to successfully perform the physical requirements of the job which include lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, and significant amounts of walking and standing throughout the day including climbing of stairs.
