Ohio Dominican University is searching for a Residence Hall Director.

The Residence Hall Director (RHD) is one of three full-time, 12 month, live-in professional position. The Residence Hall Director is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the various programs and services in the ODU Residence Hall community with the goal of developing a positive community environment that supports the academic goals of the students and the mission of the University.  The position requires seasoned judgment to provide direction and support in the form of advisement of the Resident Assistant staff and their programs, execution of crisis management and policy enforcement, and building maintenance.  The Residence Hall Director utilizes student development theory and strategies to provide an environment in the residence halls that enhances academic, personal, and social development in the residents.

Qualifications for the position include: a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Masters preferred.  Two years prior experience working with students in a residence hall environment or in a student development role is required.   The ideal candidate must demonstrate knowledge, experience, and interest in residential programs and the development of the community and its students.  A positive and helpful attitude is required along with a willingness to work in a flexible environment, as a member of a hard-working team.  A furnished campus apartment, cable, internet, and meal plan are included.
